Good to read Sanjai again. It's been a while since I read his pieces.
The Time article I posted a while back put forth some additional theories on why the job market may lag for quite some time. These included the change from a skilled-manufacturing job force. So there are all these people out there with high-quality skills and no place to use them...think auto-industry workers. Even if the economy picks up, we just don't make many cars in the US anymore.
