Remember Constitution (Aug. 7)

If it's not in the Constitution, it's not Constitutional....

  1. While I, too, support the idea of more local government, some things just make more sense to have at a national level. Single-payer health care is one of them. I can't imagine trying to do this on a state-by-state basis...talk about red tape should I be in Florida and need medical care.

Oh, and I think Kenny D's post (the first one in the thread) is right on.

  2. The letter is gibber-jabber, but the posts of Jim F not being removed shows the Matt Neznanskis bias, Barefoot never said anything like that.

  3. It is not the only time regarding JimF.

Barefoot not only "never said anything like that", he stepped up in defense against anything like that being said.

  4. I just went and checked...Jim F's post remains. This is fricking irritating! Barefoot gets banned, Tom gets a warning message (for what?) and Jim F's posts remain?!

As I said to momofthree, I think going over Matt's head would be in order.

  5. I'm Gobsmacked...

I just reviewed the thread today.

  6. That's why I don't write to them anymore, they are not fair, and not smart.

Whenever someone would post the word 'queer' I would call them and give them a hard time until they removed it. Ask for Graham Kislinbury.

  7. I think either Matt must be ignoring my 'report abuse' actions. Take a look at the thread 'Two Letters Get Response'. It is just one example of how the 'discussion' has digressed into name calling and baiting. Yet no one is home to pull posts.

I'm giving it until the end of the day then Matt is going to get an email from me.

  8. FINALLY they removed those posts! Geeze, I had my letter ready to go.

  9. How does JimF get removed completely, without the "off topic, baiting, personal attack ect...." - Just like he was not there making an idiot of himself?

I am beginning to think some posters may be related to the moderator???

Check out the comments concerning the field burning that has turned to the issue of barefoot...

  10. hmmmm DD was banned?

His account seems to be deleted just as Barefoot's was.

  11. So does Ten Years After's account.

  12. Well, Digger's post was completely removed like that too, so I don't know how they determine that.

I'll have to look at the field burning one, I haven't seen it yet.

Another interesting note: Matt de-friended me on the MidvalleyVoice, so I can no longer look at his blog thread! Very interesting!

  13. Yes, I see the comments regarding Barefoot. Yeah, Barefoot was the only person on the GTDH to post inflamatory remarks....rrriiiiggghhhhtt.

BTW, how do you know that DD and TYA accounts are deleted? I am not surprised about DD...Barefoot told me he was pushing the limit and, well, with over a quarter of the comments on that thread, guess he pushed it too far.

Truth Teller is pissed that his posts have been removed for being off topic. How does it feel TT?

  14. Oh, you clicked on their icon and got a 'no such address notice'. Yep, they're gone.

  15. I posted on Tom's thoughts that Matt has disappeared along with SAHSGrad and JimF.

    Like they were never there.

I made a phone call to a gentleman at Lee, and he did call me back yesterday - but I rather doubt, given his response it had any impact on what has occurred.

I know a lot of people, but the only card I pulled was my work with CARDV - that seemed to hold no value to the gentleman I spoke with even though I never utilized as a position of power (that puts people in a difficult position to do so).

That being said - I dunno what happened, nor do I understand what is happening now.

.......and I REALLY do not understand SAHSGrad

  16. I posted to Tom's thought too.

Yeah, I don't get it either, but some sort of shit has hit the fan...

Oh, and nice that you work or worked for CARDV!

  17. I have worked closely with them and have the greatest admiration for what they do.

My profession, at times, is much less rewarding.

  18. Oh, I can relate to that. I have volunteered with Planned Parenthood and got much more out of it than my 'day job'.

  19. I'm going to be deleted on the field burning thread tomorrow.....I justttttt know it.

  20. I'm going to be in good company.

I should say that ajai and I will be deleted tomorrow.

  21. momofthree, if you haven't gotten a warning, then you won't. Have you?

I was going to chime in, but I think I am so done with that comment section...I can't stomach it anymore.

  22. Eh, maybe. My post may be deleted. It's good to know how valuable our midvalley voices are to them. I love the tagline, "Share your story, get involved!"

I don't know what went down, but I'm glad I got out when I did, Toms blog is like a life raft from the Titanic.

If any of those people talk smack about me, though, I will go back and make sure I give them a good reason to ban me.

  23. To be clear, I would defend you as well, Ajai. It just looked like you and momofthree did the job, so I saw no need to participate in the GT's sucky forum.

I agree...I am thankful that Tom got on starting this blog. I am less and less inclined to read the comments on the GTDH every day that passes. Just grab the articles and transfer them on over here...
