While Vicki is right about problems - even today they exsist.
I cringed at the word "corrupt" yesterday because I was reminded of a few past utilizations of the word.
I worked for a department at one time, that, because of the actions of one or a select few, a city council member was quoted in the newspaper as the department being corrupt.
That initiated a whole slew of crap letters to the paper and phone calls to the local radio station about personal experiences with the department.
When she was arrested for possession of cocaine, no one said or even impied that because of the actions of one city council member the city council was corrupt.
Just an FYI, you can go back and delete your own posts, if you want to. I've done it a couple of times on 'test' posts. When you're logged in, you'll see a little trash can. However, then it states that the post was deleted, so there is still a post of sorts there...
I know it's another bike thread, but I thought an interesting angle to the debate...
ReplyDeleteYes, I liked this letter, it acknowleges the gray areas in life.
ReplyDeleteIt also acknowledges corruption and I admire the writers honest telling of the situation he was put in.
ReplyDelete....I'm gonna crawl back under my rock now.
ReplyDeletewhy?

Hi momofthree, hmm, I'm intrigued, but I don't want to pry.
ReplyDeleteAjai - I don't know much more about it.
