This is pretty much a non-issue. If these liberal professors are open about their political views in classes, who cares if the campus republicans publish a list of liberal professors?
Besides, aren't universities supposed to be a place for open debate in classes? It's one thing if a professor is truly biasing grades (as if that doesn't happen without knowing a student's political views). But I think it would be easy for a student to convince themselves that they got the bad grade because the professor didn't like him/her, as opposed to receiving the poor grade because that is what they earned. This goes for repubs or dems alike.
Wait a minute, if I don't work I am entitled to free health care, free food, andsubsidized housing. Why not a good grade too? Even if I didn't earn it?

ReplyDeleteCOE, no, but if you are rich, they will gladly accept your bribe for a grade, just like Congress does from the insurance and pharmacy lobbies.
