While I think the piece is a bit of tongue-in-cheek with the (see this or that) bit, I have a couple of gripes with the essence of it.
Research the story of the CIGNA whistle blower. CIGNA denied coverage to a young girl who had insurance and she died when her life could have been saved.
Further, to compare the profit margins of restaurants, beer makers, and shoes to those of insurance companies isn't a fair comparison. Nobody died because they couldn't afford Melano Blancs or dining at Four Seasons.
