Is the Oregon health plan going to be anything like Obama care on the Federal level? If so will good old Obama send out the letters saying, ooops sorry, too expensive you get to die???

By the way, guess who donated the medicine for this woman? Big evil Pharmacy... Oooh the humanity!

  3. To the contrary, universal health care could save her life.

  4. We don't have universal health care right now. People are dying everywhere.

  5. After Universal Health care; we will still have people dying everywhere... We just get to spend more for it, and we have no idea what it will or won't do...

  6. Maybe, I don't know I'm not a fortune teller.

We do know that what we have right now is not effective or affordable.

  7. "Maybe, I don't know I'm not a fortune teller."

Shouldn't it be included in the language of the bill.

"We do know that what we have right now is not effective or affordable."

Agreed, but a huge Government take over (I don't believe) is the answer either.

Why not create a system where States/Insurance Companies are forced to compete with each other?

Why not legislate like Minnesota has to take away lifetime caps on health coverage from ins. Companies? You pay your premiums you get coverage. Below is a clip of Al Franken talking with so called "Astroturfers" who don't yell and scream, but just ask simple questions...

I am not a fan of Franken, but I think he handled himself very well and I have alot more respect for him because of it.

Why not make the system a true free market system where patients can shop around for care/coverage?

I know we will always have a segment of society that cannot pay. We have programs already to assist those people. Lets use those and make reform to those. Cut waste there, and make it more cost effective to the tax payers.

Why are we so ready to just give over control to Obama and the Federal Government?

Granted these are extremely simplified solutions and I am not stupid enough to think it is easy. I just wish we could get away from the right vs left and get some real answers!

  8. Yes, Franken is very intelligent, what is being promoted is a choice and competition. There is no 'government take over,' that's a fallacy.

  9. 'Why are we so ready to just give over control to Obama and the Federal Government?'

Yes Obama will control it all, he is omnipotent, resistance is futile. Or that's paranoia.

  10. The easiest way to get people to obey, is to make them afraid.

  12. Kind of like the Stimulus? Fear doesn't reside on one side of the isle...
