This picture does not say "equality". It says mental illness. http://bloximages.chicago2.vip.townnews.com/gazettetimes.com/content/tncms/assets/editorial/5/37/cd4/537cd44c-81ac-11df-b2a5-001cc4c03286-revisions/4c26e0aaba538.preview-300.jpg
Yep! I reported it as abuse. I also reported the other comment with the link. In my comment, when reporting, I said that I felt that the re-posting of these was a form of harassment against you and that the paper could do what they want (delete it or not), but if something happened they could not claim innocence to the possible issue and that I was going to report it as "abuse" every time I saw someone linking to the story as a way of trying to marginalize you.
Thanks, I reported it as well. Looks like it was removed, thankfully. Looks like my outfit made a big splash if people still feel the need to bring it up.
I was stunned to see him/her pulling that crap yet again. It's sad that such a positive event has been hijacked by those who suffer from poverty of the soul, for lack of a better term. Sorry to you, Ajai, and your partner for that.
I guess I don't get it... Even Taken in the context of the story the piture is just a picture of someone in a dress with someone else decorating the dress.
I have done it for Halloween! Milton Berle, Monty Python, and New Kids In The Hall did it for a living!
It amazes me that these people have such a hard time accepting that there is nothing wrong with the photo! Continuing to show or trying to show this photo as a way of slamming Ajai makes no sense to me.
Ajai, I read the comment on the rants and raves. I thought about commenting on it but was hesitant in case it is some sort of computer-virus type scam. It was disturbing, so I decided to flag it as I think it is probably leaning toward violation of the terms of use policy.
...which removed it. I don't know...I guess if this were a cry for help from the person, they sure picked a place where it is difficult for someone to help them.
I now feel badly that the post was removed from the list...not my intention. My, probably unrealistic, thought was that someone moderating would see it and be able to do something, but now I doubt it.
Yeah, I found that note strange. Maybe the administrators could have called someone, but I don't know. Of course it's hard to know how to help an anonymous note.
Thanks for the nice words, I just wanted to keep a record in case anything ever happened, but I'm not worried about it.
Mark said I could have wrote back to R.U Kidding, 'why is that a mental illness? Because a guy chooses to shave his head?'
Humor would have probably been my next step had the GT not removed it. Then I would start posting pictures of me in costumes from plays (from the GT).
Yeah, I don't get it either. I've played soldiers, painters, insects, animals, swamis, comedians, cops, blues singers, maniancs, drunks, killers, sadists, bullies, myself, etc...and yet somehow for some, impersonating a Brazillian singer from 60-70 years ago is just pushing the envelope too far.
Went back to Craigslist R&R and interestingly there was another post with the same caption line as the suicidal post. This one wasn't suicidal, but had similar gripes against the gov. I hope this means that person was either not seriously suicidal or decided to not go through with it.

ReplyDeleteThe craigslist R&R has some strange material...

ReplyDeleteAhmad Al Sulaiti sounds like a middle-eastern name. I will try to pronounce it: I-mmm-all-stupid
