I finally got a response from Graham this morning. I'd be curious to know the 'few new things' they are trying to get rid of repeat offenders. But at least the message got through that we know some are gaming the system:
"Vicky,
I apologize for the belated response to your thoughtful email.
Matt Neznanski and I are trying few new things that will hopefully keep our perpetual violators quiet or at least toned down.
I would like a world in which everyone writes as if their mother or father is reading what they're writing. That doesn't mean being prissy, just polite. In the blogosphere, unfortunately, many people feel the need to be rude, crude, and downright mean.
Anyway, we're trying to stay on top of it.

I reconcile that your trying to compete with google,? How many of you go with that definition, Or it doesn't really matter about words, they are after all just words. It is all how you deliver the words that matter not their actual meaning.
The Tea Party Patiots would not tea bag you. http://www.teapartypatriots.org/ Our mission is to attract, educate, organize, and mobilize our fellow citizens to secure public policy consistent with our three core values of Fiscal Responsibility, Constitutionally Limited Government and Free Markets.
Good luck with your definitions. I will be sticking with google for now.
A letter was published in the Albany Democrat Herald in which the writer referred to Gay men as "tinkerbells". I wrote a comment online suggesting that the term should have not been allowed to be printed. One of the online posters (srjim200) used the term in a post and I reported it. It took 'em a while, but they seem to have pulled the comment. I'm hoping the hardcopy paper will do a better job in the future of editing out such verbiage.
sirjim2000 - Another classic statement from you - a retired steel worker who was a member of the steel worker's union.
When a Union represented YOU, that was different.
This mine had over 124 serious safety violations.
You have banned together with United Steelworkers for less when you were employed.
You are a trolling, sniveling little hypocrite with no respect for those who died in this accident, and lacking the grey matter between those ears of yours to understand how it could have been prevented.

My comment most probably will be removed, but it was worth it.

We'll see...I'm not that optimistic.
What I wonder, is why they don't ban very obvious repeat offenders once they know.

I pushed the Report Abuse button and wrote this:
ReplyDelete"Matt,
This person has been banned multiple times. It is obvious who he is from the language he continuously uses (CarpeDM, Austin, Monica...).
This post is a clear example of how those who know how to work the system repeatedly abuse it. So much for the banning threat cleaning up the blog.
Can't we get rid of this person for good?"
